Matthew Clark is a storyteller. Cinema is his medium of expression. Upon receiving his MFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Matthew began his career in the independent film world of New York City and is now based in Los Angeles.
Whether volunteering as a DP for the Sundance Institute or shooting a motion picture, Matthew has been able to balance projects with sharing what he has learned with others. He feels that this path allows for an exchange of ideas and the implementation of those ideas in the real world of filmmaking, while providing for growth as an artist.
In 2009 and again in 2010, Matthew was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for his work on “30 Rock”. He was invited into the American Society of Cinematographers in 2020 and has been a member of the International Cinematographers Guild since 2004.
